Description: pressure cooker suitable for all types of stoves, with a removable lid that is equipped with a control and safety valve.

Risks: the pressure cooker poses serious risks, such as burns and injuries, because the safety and decompression devices are inadequate. Consequently, the lid may be opened while the product is still under pressure, causing hot solids or liquids to eject.

 

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU and standard EN 12778.

 

Action adopted: the measures adopted by notifying country consists in withdrawal of the product from the market (Czech Republic).

Annex I

1. GENERAL

1.1 Pressure equipment shall be designed, manufactured and checked, and if applicable equipped and installed, in such a way as to ensure its safety when put into service in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, or in reasonably foreseeable conditions.
